- On the Unit, press the left-right arrows, and decide which channel you want to use, from 1 to 8. The area you will stop on will light up intermittently, slowly. Then press the SET button and the LED will flash quickly.
- Continue on the thermostat. Close it and then long press the M button until the pairing code appears on the screen, then press the up button,
- Wait until the LED on the Control Unit goes out. Pairing completed successfully!
- Turn on the thermostat again
Repeat the steps if you want to link the same thermostat for several zones.
Then you can check if the thermostat and the Quicksmart Q20 Central Unit are working well by setting the temperature higher than the room temperature.
The system should start heating; when heating, the LED of the corresponding circuit on the Unit will light up, that is, the actuator is working, it has received the command.
If you want to disconnect the thermostat and channel set on the Qsmart Unit, press the left or right arrows to the LED for the desired disconnect zone. Press the RESET button for 2 seconds to disconnect.
If the Qsmart Central Unit requires factory reset, press and hold both left-right buttons for 10 seconds until all LEDs light up.
Q20 thermostat functions:
Temperature calibration
This function is used to calibrate the room temperature displayed by the thermostat, if the actual room temperature differs from the displayed one. For example, if the actual room temperature is 21.5°C, but the thermostat shows 23°C, then you can set this value to -1.5, then the thermostat will show 21.5°C.
Frost protection
This is the temperature maintained when the thermostat is in Frost Protection mode. If the room temperature is below 5°C (default), the radiator thermostat will turn on heating until the room temperature reaches 5°C (default).
Switching the differential
This function allows you to increase the switching difference of the thermostat. The default value is 0°C, which means that with a set temperature of 20°C, the thermostat will start heating at 19.5°C and stop heating at 20.5°C. With a difference of 0.5°C, the heating will be on at 19°C and off at 21°C.
Child lock
With child lock ON, the buttons will lock once the backlight is turned off. Press the up and down button at the same time for 5 seconds to unlock it for a temporary adjustment.
Open Window Detection (OWD)
When the open window detection function is enabled in the parameter setting, the system will automatically turn off the heating when it detects a sudden drop in room temperature (2°C in 15 minutes as Default Mode). This is normally caused when a window or door is opened without turning off the heater.
The device will return to its previous operating mode after 30 minutes, then disappear. Pressing any button will exit the OWD function during the heating off period.
