A NO (Normally Open) underfloor heating actuator is a device that controls the flow of hot water in the underfloor heating system. This type of actuator is used to adjust the flow of water through floor pipes as needed.

The operation of an NO actuator for underfloor heating is as follows:

1. **Normal (Open) State:** Normally, the NO actuator is in an open state, meaning it does not block the flow of water. In this position, hot water can flow through the pipes in the floor, thus heating the floor and the room.

2. **Close Command or Signal:** When the heating control system detects that the room temperature has reached the desired level or is warm enough, it sends a signal to the actuator to start the closing process.

3. **Actuator Close:** After receiving the close signal, the NO actuator closes, which means that the actuator control element (usually an electric motor or similar component) begins to block the flow of water through the system underfloor heating.

4. **Shutdown of Water Flow:** By closing the actuator, the flow of water to the floor pipes is gradually restricted or completely stopped, depending on the degree of closure of the actuator.

5. **Temperature Maintenance:** Once the actuator has shut off the water flow, the temperature in the room will continue to be maintained at the desired level, as the supply of hot water to the floor is limited.

6. **Open Command:** When the room temperature starts to drop or the control system detects that more heat is needed, it sends a signal to open the actuator again.

7. **Actuator Opening:** The NO Actuator opens again, allowing water flow to circulate through the floor pipes and restart the heating process.

In this way, the NO actuator for underfloor heating plays a crucial role in maintaining the optimum temperature in the room by controlling the flow of hot water to the underfloor heating system.
